Held during National CHW week, the goal of the 1st Virtual CHW Summit was to prepare Community Health Worker for COVID-19 response.

- Informing CHWs on ways to continue to engage the community during a pandemic
- Reaching as many CHWs as possible
- Providing exposure of the Community Health Worker to advance the profession
The 2020 Virtual CHW Summit was a week-long Summit held during National Community Health Worker week with just under 800 attendees from numerous US states, two Latin American countries, and parts of West Africa.
Between 367-499 participants joined live each night to listen to subject matter experts present on a variety of topics related to COVID-19 preparation and response.
Over 120 employer organizations were represented
92.7% of the Summit attendees identified as CHWs or CHW Instructors
99.4% rated the Summit as either very good or excellent
